Alicia Kominsky, a graduate of Delaware Valley College, holds a degree in Plant Science and Biotechnology. This strong educational foundation has equipped her with an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of plant growth and development, making her an invaluable asset to Sunshine Services.
Alicia's career began in the heart of organics, working at a local farm that specialized in producing high-quality vegetables and herbs for fine dining restaurants. Here, she leveraged her academic knowledge of plant science to propagate, repot, and divide specimen plants within a greenhouse environment. Additionally, she was responsible for maintaining a butterfly garden, where her appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between insects and plants deepened.
Transitioning from the organic farming sector, Alicia ventured into the commercial landscape industry. She honed her skills in nursery management, overseeing plant cultivation and ensuring their health and vitality. Simultaneously, Alicia also delved into the creative side of landscaping, providing design services that catered to the unique visions of her clients.
She has been instrumental in developing custom landscape and hardscape features, including patios, walls, poolscapes, plantings, and driveway pavers. Her combined expertise in plant science and landscape design allows her to create outdoor spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also ecologically balanced.
With her versatile skill set and passion for horticulture, Alicia enriches our team and enhances the quality of the services we offer at Sunshine Services.
